Superstarvalue on Kim Chiu: Makes a Dramatic Entry into the League of Valuable Stars!
Kim Chiu is the hottest young female tv star for the first quarter of 2009! Her back to back successes, the high-rating weekly series 'My Only Hope' and the more successful and still reigning nightly soap 'Tayong Dalawa' cement Kim's new stature as among ABS-CBN's most important home grown talents.
To be more specific, Kim Chiu is ABS-CBN's most important home grown female talent after Bea Alonzo.
The one media Kim has yet to conquer convincingly though is Film. Also, Kim's popularity is still very much associated with her love team partner, Gerald Anderson. If ABS-CBN/Star Cinema can cook up a 'hit' headlining Kim (with or without Gerald) as big as KC's or Sarah's, then this young Cebuana may well be the next Claudine Barretto or Judy Ann Santos for the network.

Goodbye 'Betty', Welcome Back Bea!
TV Patrol reports that ABS-CBN has finally wrapped up the production of 'ILBLF.' Superstarvalue supports this move as shown in our earlier post below. So its 'goodbye Betty' and finally, welcome back beautiful Bea!
Bea Alonzo's starvalue points drop despite 'Betty's' ratings success
'I Love Betty La Fea' is a top-rater for ABS-CBN and Bea Alonzo is playing the lead part so that should be a good thing for Bea's starvalue, right?
Yes and No.
Yes because 'ILBF' is sustaining Bea's tv exposure and No because to be totally honest about the show, it suffers in comparison with the original Columbian production of 'Yo Soy Betty La Fea' as far as the quality of 'story' and execution is concerned.
And in Superstarvalue's copyrighted starvalue computation, the results show that the less than admirable quality of the Pinoy version is in fact, hurting the starvalue of Bea for the simple reason that Bea is the face of Betty, the local one that is.
Superstarvalue solution: End the show fast and get a better one ASAP. The sooner the people forget that Bea starred in the local Betty, we repeat, the local Betty, the better for Bea Alonzo, the star.
