X Factor USA Winner Melanie Amaro in the Same League as Josh Krajcik & Chris Rene in SSV Star Value Ratings (Repost)

The winner in the first season of The X Factor USA has just been announced- and it turns out that most of the American viewers voted for Melanie Amaro over Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene. In the tightly-fought three-corned battle of singers, Melanie's supporters including her fellow church members back home proved to be the more dedicated texters and tweeters that eventually pushed her on top of the vote rankings.

Simon Cowell must be beaming proud for his latest talent find and righfully so. Indeed, Melanie showed her vocal prowess, despite her young age, is way above ready to capture audiences throughout America and worldwide.

So our congratulations goes to Mr. Cowell, producer of The X Factor and to Melanie for this $M5 feat.

That said, SSV maintains its Star Value Ranking for each of the three (former) contestants; Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene.

In our final star value rating, the trio scored an almost even score to land them all within the "Seasoned Star" league. However, in our rating system, it is Chris Rene who comes up with the slightest of star value score advantage over voting winner Melanie and more distinct artist Josh Krajcik.

And despite the results of the voting in the show, SSV is publishing their star value scores as is, not to challenge or downplay the victory of Melanie and Simon for that matter but to further test the strenght and scope and reliability of our Star Value Rating System.

Because everyone in the know would agree, the genuie battle for Star Value had only just begun for Melanie, Josh and Chris.

SSV wishes the trio well as they navigate their individual professional singing careers amidst the much tighter competition outside of the X Factor stage.

And we offer our Star Value Rating System to these artists as an added aid to their accomplishing that journey and becoming that star that Melanie, Josh and Chris are meant to be.

But how exactly does the star value rating system help the artist or producer for the matter?

It provides, among other things, an objective look at where the artist is at the moment, career-wise, and where the artist could be headed.

Taking the results above as an example, our Star Value Rating System suggests that while the three are almost evenly situated- all are within the "Seasoned Star" league and all three have enough talent and opporrtunities in their way to make it in the music industry as individual artists, it is Chris Rene who is poised to reach "Top Star" level quite faster than Melanie or Josh would.

A solid measure of this view would be the comparitive sales of the albums of Melanie, Josh and Chris (if and when all three come up with an album).

Excluding other factors such as date of release and quality of songs among others, as far as their current star value scores are concerned, the star value scores suggests that that Chris Rene will make more album sales than the two. That is, IF Chris Rene remains in his elements and continues to grow as an artist and as a performer, then he is set to reach his star quite faster than his two opponents in the show.

And that is the bigger challenge.

Star Value Analysis (Box-Office) 2011: Tom Cruise Movie, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4, Set to Beat Boxofficemojo Forecast, Hollywood Experts' Early Sentiments

Image capture of @SuperStarValue box-office analysis for MI4: Ghost Protocol starring Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is looking like he is set to prove his detractors wrong (and SSV correct) and show Hollywood and the world that he has NOT lost his Star Value- and SuperStarvalue is proud to say we saw it coming despite what Hollywood experts have been saying prior to the opening of Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol.

Noted box-office tracking website, www.boxofficemojo.com predicted a $M125 US box-office gross for Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol in its holiday forecast but after applying our star value system to the film, we tweeted a more positive forecast of $175M minimum US domestic gross for the Tom Cruise movie.

As SSV investigated deeper into the issue of the MI4 box-office potential, it became clear that the general sentiment of Hollywood players and experts for this franchise has been on the negative since last year, what with news of Tom Cruise needing to agree to a pay-cut in order to continue headlining the film and the producers' decision to move on its playdate- even giving way to the Sherlock Holmes movie of Robert Downey, Jr and Jude Law .

But now that the early figures are in, from its limited release in the US (with boxofficemojo now calling it the 'highest grossing limited release of all time!) and its wider release overseas, it seems more likely that Tom Cruise has maintained/regained his star value with MI4 and in effect, proving that the SuperStarValue Analysis & Rating System works- even for Hollywood superstars and Hollywood mega-productions.

So whether you are a (Hollywood) Star or a (Hollywood) Producer of a Star, we have become more comfortable to ask- Do you Know your Star Value? Where is Your Star in the SSV Star Value Cycle? Email superstarvalue@yahoo.com for your queries on our Star Value services.

Because in the business of showbusiness, as in life, and moreso in Hollywood, it really Pays to Know Your Value!
