Congratulations Sarah Geronimo, 2008's Most Valuable Young Female Star!
Our copyrighted system of evaluating the starvalue of each celebrity reveals what others failed to see-(remember the worry that her film would not be a success?)- Superstarvalue points why Sarah is on TOP of her league!
Full report on each star; Angel Locsin, KC Concepcion, Marian Rivera, Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis and Toni Gonzaga available soon!
Angel Locsin proves her starvalue, at least on television and other media, and her grades in those areas were good enough to put her just a shy away from KC and Marian. She now holds the highest value in television, in comparison with five other stars in this tally. However, her non-appearance in a movie pulled back a lot of points for her in the overall computation.
Bea Alonzo deserves a better grade, if not position, in our tally. Afterall, she has proven herself to be a competent actress and a top box-office draw. But 2007's Box-office Queen didn't come up on the big screen in 2008 which gravely affected her position. This is one career strategy that baffles us no end. Thank goodness for 'I Love Betty La Fea', a local adaptation of a show we mentioned to tv executives as one of our favorites (the original series, that is).
So it could be said that 'Betty saves Bea' in 2008. Meanwhile, Toni Gonzaga grabs the lead in television supremacy, thanks to her various talents that give her a wider room for exposure. Toni outgrades everyone, including Marian Rivera in the television category but in the end, it still was not enough to land her the overall lead. Despite Toni's respectable showing in our finally tally, Anne Curtis still manages to clinch her way ahead of Toni with her two commercially and critically successful films.
Still with new data comes further re-evaluation and that includes our own system. In the spirit of fairness and objectivity, Superstarvalue had to re-evaluate the social value points of KC on television. In the end, its the people's choice that is given more weight than cut throat business politics.
Marian Rivera regains edge over KC but still only by a slight margin.
The tally you can defend!
The tally you can depend on!
